The Ground shifts beneath our feet

  • How does what happens underground manifest above ground?

  • What do new transportation options mean for F&B consumption?

  • How will new transport hubs alter the food/ travel relationship for CBD workers, suburban leisure travel & tourists?

  • Will they be eating on the go or going there to eat?

  • Will they be using new transport options to explore somewhere new?

Implications

Sydney Metro needs to be studied closely to fully understand the food and beverage (F&B) and retail potential for the upcoming Metro developments in Melbourne and Brisbane.

We’ll be looking at the newly emerging food precincts and comparing them to previous transport hubs with significant offers (e.g.Chatswood Interchange V the new Victoria Cross in North Sydney)

Some factors we’re already looking at include linger time, weekdays v weekends, day part appeal, average spend, which food outlets are popular and just who exactly is the customer?

Want to take it to Foda?

How it pans out, we don't know yet. If you do, please feel free to share, and we’ll stop immediately (we won’t). In the meantime, we’re learning fast.
